A British Council ‘Comenius’ Project
The ideas for this Project arose at a 4 day British Council Conference held in Nottingham England (February 2003)
Attending were teachers from schools all across Europe.
The teacher coordinators from our particular schools quickly identified they had common interests and friendships developed which led to us working together to write a submission for a joint project.

In September 2003 each school had heard that our submission had been accepted by their National Agencies and so our journey of developing educational and social links between pupils and staff, using communication technologies, began.
Aims of the project
• To develop an understanding of the environment and culture of different regions in Europe
• To promote global citizenship through communication technologies including video conferencing.
• To broaden children’s understanding and knowledge of European countries, their cultures and values, promoting an attitude of respect tolerance and empathy.
• To include pupils from all cultural backgrounds, ability and religions
• Make friends across Europe.
• Give pupils a new arena in which to present their work
This website shows some of the work we have been undertaking.
More importantly it is an area where pupils can share their work with friends across Europe.
ENJOY!
